Herewith please find PROOF OF HOLIDAY DECORATION in accordance with unwritten blogging rule #1225/jff. To wit, all bloggers are required to show the world proof of holiday decorating. No wordy little story about decorating will be accepted in place of mandatory photos.
Further, let it be known that the undersigned, Zen-Den and Ally Bean, jointly and severally hereinafter referred to as “The Beans,” do certify that they decorated their home of their own freewill and with relatively few arguments about how to do said project.
Further still, let it be known that The Beans would very much like to take a couple more photos of the outside of their abode, but the incessant rain has kept them from doing this. Hence, they humbly submit only one photo of the outside taken while standing inside but leaning out the front door with camera in hand.

Melisa, thanks. I think it’s the right amount, too. My head spins with too much visual clutter around. Hence, we keep our decorating limited in scope and color-coordinated within each room.
la p, we’ve had a record year of rain here. And we haven’t had a hard frost yet, so we still have green grass. Weird, huh?

Those are classy and beautiful decorations. Sorry about your rain. I think we must have swapped weather; we’ve been clear and cold lately. The skiers need SNOW to fall in our mountains!!

Love your decorations. So great. I love that they’re not over the top, that it doesn’t look cluttered, and yet, it’s cheery and festive and seasonal. Nice job.
I hadn’t even thought about posting this year…perhaps I should, before the poinsettias out front get all droopy.

Becky you would remember that, wouldn’t you?! The bells now live year round in a crystal bowl on the coffee table in our living room. They are objet d’art— and a fun reminder of how you people used to torment me. 😉

It’s still very green there! You could just throw some red balls around the yard and call that Christmasy. I love your stuffed friends under the tree and need some close up shots of them.

Zazzy, that’s a great idea. If we don’t get any snow pretty soon, I might just do that. I’ll try to take some more tree photos once I have the time and energy to figure out how to get them to look decent. So far my attempts have failed.

I love lights in bushes, trees etc. We have someone at the end of our village with a huge conifer in their front garden which they fill with lights every year. It’s the first thing you see when you drive into the village and I always look forward to seeing it.

Polly, your neighbor’s tree sounds very pretty. I like lights scattered around on the bushes outside of the house, but am not ambitious enough to try to light an outside tree. Yikes!
