When You Leave Your House What Do You See Every Day?

I think that it’s easy to forget that what you see every day is not what everyone else sees every day.  We all live such different lives.

So a couple of weeks ago I took my camera with me one day as I ran errands around here.  It was an exceptionally pretty + quiet late summer day.  Nothing much was going on anywhere that I went, but I took photos anyway.

Here are a few of them… just so you can see what I see almost every day.

    • Zen-Den, thank you. We really do live in a beautiful area… when the sun is shining! [Although if I ever broke down and bought a new camera, photos taken on gray days might look good too. What to do, what to do?]

  1. One of my favorite things about blogging is the opportunity to glimpse the world of others…..glad you shared the beauty of your “place.”

    • Margaret, it is peaceful here. Not there aren’t lots of people, but we have almost instant access to nature so the density of the population doesn’t seem quite so… well, dense!

  2. I love this. I’ve thought quite a bit in the last few years that it is important to photograph the every day moments of our lives. We need to capture the dailiness and not just the special events. Don’t you think?

    • Relyn, I agree with you. I enjoy seeing photos from special times, but I believe that it’s the ordinary moments that define us the most. And are the easiest to forget.

  3. Ally, I just loved this post. Simple, beautiful pictures of the every day. Breathtaking! I especially loved the picture of the fawn (I saw one by my house last night actually crossing right by the custard place and then I saw her companion a moment later crossing too). 🙂

    • kristen, glad that you liked this post. I’m especially happy that I got the photo of the worn out railroad sign that I see all the time. One day I just know it’s going to be gone & replaced with a perfect brand new one– that’ll never have the same charm as this old one!
