Keep Moving. Blog Maintenance. Nothing To Look At Here.

Follow my blog with Bloglovin

You looked, didn’t you?  You just couldn’t stand not knowing exactly what I was doing.

And now that you’re here you’re kind of wondering why I’m doing that which I’m doing.  I know how you think, my gentle readers.  So I’ll tell you.

I’m claiming my blog, The Spectacled Bean, at Bloglovin’.  By placing what I did at the top of this little post, I am lead to believe that I’ll have:

And with that said, I’m publishing this post.  Hoping that I’ve done that which they want me to do in a way that pleases them, so that I might have that which they tell me I can have, which would please me.

Hallelujah and pass the potato salad, let’s see what happens next.

    • Zen-Den, it worked. I have claimed. What wondrous things this connection is going to do for me, I know not. But I did it… and on a Friday afternoon, even.

      Legendary. I like that.

  1. I’ve been following your blog on Bloglovin’ since I gave up Google Reader, so it must be that adding the code does something extra fantastic. Keep us posted on what exciting results transpire 🙂

    • Stephanie, thanks for following me. I’ve had this Bloglovin’ account for months, but never did much with it. Now that I have a profile page, I might get more into it.

But here’s the thing: on my profile page it says that I’m following some blogs/people who I’ve never heard of before. It’s as if my page is mixed with someone else’s page. So until that clears itself, I’m not sure how useful Bloglovin’ is going to be for me.

  2. I too use Bloglovin’ in spite of my disdain of the name. It’s very user friendly and much like GR. However, I’m now feeling like I’m missing out on a VITAL feature of the reader…a profile page? Facebook for the blogging set? 😉

    • Margaret, I don’t get the name, either. Kind of dumb. But if this service ultimately makes my blogging life easier than they can call it whatever they want. I like your assessment of it: FB for bloggers is exactly what it seems to be morphing into.

  3. Hey Ally, totally separate. I saw on Nance’s site that you’re considering coming to BlogHer in SF. If you do, please do let me know…I’d love to meet you for a glass of wine or lunch or something.

Yes, there’s a drought. But you won’t have to worry about it, and SF is never hot. Most homes don’t even have a/c, though hotels do. Parking can be hell, but you most likely wouldn’t need a car, so who cares? SF is such a beautiful city, and if you’ve never been, you should at least keep it in mind. 🙂

        • Margaret, yes, SF = San Francisco.

I thought that was where the conference was going to be, but looking at the website for BlogHer ’14 I see that the conference is going to be in San Jose, CA. It’s from July 24 thru 26.

This is close to SF, but not quite the same, isn’t it? [Never been to that part of CA.]

          • Me neither. But do you know the way to San Jose? lalalala Anyway, let me know if you decide to go. I’ve never even contemplated going to one of these, but I might if you were going. A friendly face, you know.

            • Margaret, I’ve said for years that I might go to see what was going on, but when push comes to shove I never quite get there. Large groups overwhelm me, but I will definitely let you know if I go.

              • Well, I’d love to meet you anyway, but San Jose generally sucks. 😉 If you had time, I’d pick you (and Margaret) up and we could spend some time in San Francisco.

                • J, I’ll let you know what I decide to do. Meeting you and Margaret would be fun, but the chaos + expense of this… well, that’s a whole ‘nother thing entirely.
