The final writing prompt for June 2014 NaBloPoMo is:
“Leave your readers this month with commentary about their comments.”
My commentary is:
You, my gentle readers, are the best. I’m grateful for your kind interest, thought-filled comments and support. I realize that you arrived here from all over the place:
- NaBloPoMo via BlogHer [a few people]
- IComLeavWe via Stirrup Queens [a few more people]
- Susie Lindau’s blog party [many, many people]
- and who knows where else [see world map above].
I appreciate you making your way here, and as a way of saying thank you I’ve compiled the following list of everyone with a blog who commented on The Spectacled Bean during this month.

Congratulations on a great month of entries, my Dear Beany Spouse. Good luck with the anxious July to come, and I wish you peace in hot and muggy (can it get worse?) August when it all subsides.

Zen-Den, thank you. If I’m Beany does that make you Cecil? [Click here.] 🙂
Also, you’re right about July, and should I make it to August with my sanity intact, let’s hope it’s a less humid one. Ever onward go I.

susie, I thought that it’d be fun to see exactly who made it to my blog in June and left a comment. Quite a diverse group!
Thanks for the party. It was fun, as always.

Thanks… although this one seems particularly maniacal for me. Could do with a calmer one once in a while. Could you arrange that for me, plz?

kate. Thanks. Compiling the list was a chore, but I think that seeing the names on it made it all worthwhile. Will I ever do this kind of list again? Probably not. But for this one time, it was okay.

Posting (or almost) every day was a chore too but you made it. I can’t even think about attempting that.

kate, you are a wise woman to know that this much posting is not for you! I won’t be doing this again. Too much work for something that is a hobby.

Congratulations on a fantastic month of blogging! I’ve loved reading each and every one. And what a huge list of other bloggers that stopped by! Fun, fun!!

Beth, thanks. I enjoy writing here, but prefer doing it in a more leisurely way. 😉 That being said, you’re right about having so many different ppl comment here. It was “Fun, fun!!”

Congrats! I am impressed with your drive to post daily. Kudos to you! And wow – so many different people who commented. That is awesome!

Cheri, thanks. I’m kind of amazed, too, by how many different people commented here in June. Who knew, huh?

That’s an interesting prompt, and I’m happy to be included on your list! Posting daily is difficult and I don’t think I could do it long term. I did it once for a whole month and that was long enough to know I couldn’t do it forever 🙂

Madison, the prompt got me thinking in a different way about comments which lead to this list. Daily blogging is too much for me! I do best following a more relaxed schedule– which is how I plan to do things in the future.

Great job making it through the month. I enjoyed having some Ally Bean to read almost daily – going to miss that!

Why thank you Zazzy. I appreciate your support, but I’m too old for this almost daily posting. Not enough time for me to lollygag & fritter. 😉

Andra, thank you. And now I’m going to mosey back to my usual lazy daisy blogging ways. Almost every day posting is way too much for me!

You did all those links?? *jaw drops* I’m not very good at that, although proud to be in the list. And it helps me look for more excellent blogs to read. My now real-life friend Marie and I were talking about how we connected and it was through one of your former blogs. For the past few years, we’ve had coffee every couple of weeks, discuss books, teaching, our kids, ETC and we never could have found each other without you. 🙂

Margaret, yes I did do all those links. It was more time consuming than I thought that it’d be– which is my way of saying never again. Happy to include you, though.
And I’m pleased/amazed to learn that I introduced you to one of your irl friends. That makes my day. Thanks for telling me about it. *waves HELLO from afar*

Woohoo! I don’t comment often, but apparently just enough! 😉
I have never tried the post-a-day routine, and don’t want to put myself on that kind of commitment. But I certainly applaud those who can find something to write about every day! Well done!

evilsquirrel13, I’ll not be doing this sort of blog thing again. It’s too much like having a job, not enough like having some fun. I’m going back to my 2-or-3-or-whatever per week posting schedule. Less is more!

Aw thanks for putting me on the list! You make it easy with your awesome posts. 🙂 Hugs!

Congratulations sweetie!! You did it!!! I’m doing a July Challenge. For Loki’s month I’m blogging every day! I hope I can do it!

knottedfingers, best of luck with the July challenge. I’m glad that I did this June 2014 NaBloPoMo, but I don’t think that I’ll try to do anything like this again. Too much for me! However, I will stop by in July to encourage you along the way.

Congratulations, Ally Bean! You know how to accept a challenge and go for it. Your way. (Applause continues for a few minutes.)

Kathy, thank you for the applause. While I’m glad that I did this challenge, in hindsight I have to wonder what the heck I was thinking! I’m too mellow for almost daily blogging. And now I know that for sure.
