Like the idea of a glitter bomb – then again envelopes with things like that in the workplace quickly get mistaken for things like Anthrax.
Struggling with the cocktail choice. How about the mint julep, but hold the mint and the julep and just bring me the bourbon and ice?
A most interesting set of links, not that I am surprised. Thanks for sharing.

Zen-Den, you’re right about mailing glitter to the workplace. But to someone’s home… bwha-ha-ha!
When it comes to the drink, you’re saying: SAVE THE MINT. Very generous of you. 😉

You don’t have to be highly intuitive to soak up other people’s feelings, you just have to have really poor boundaries.
Lots of us highly intuitive types practice the art of Talk to the Hand on a daily basis. And we can always pick out the ones with poor boundaries–they’re the ones calling us “mean” and then crying into their Twitter screens.

allthoughtswork, I agree. It’s all about knowing where your boundaries are– and how to set them up to benefit you. This seems to be an issue that many people struggle with. I’m highly intuitive, too– but seem to be more duck than sponge.

Fun links as always Ms Bean. I will explore more of them later. Check out this link – http://www.babevibes.com/ The pep talk generator is pretty cool.

Zazzy, thanks for the link. Love it! Nothing tickles me more than finding out about a new-to-me website out there on the web.
The pep talk generator told me that:
Hey you. Good news: No one knows what they are doing. Better news: You get to make mistakes. Best news: You get to keep trying again until you find the right fit. So… focus on one thing and one day at a time. Keep your head down. Work hard. Fail quickly. Move on. Go! ~ Elise Blaha Cripe

So many people say, “Oh, that’s on my bucket list!”(or not on it) It’s weird that my husband, when he was dying, had no bucket list, just wanted to live normal days with his normal friends/family. If someone sent me glitter, I would KILL them. As it is, any Christmas card that comes to me with glitter gets put in the trash.

Margaret, I have no bucket list. I live in the moment, I guess. Or am too dull to dream up one. The thing about bucket lists, as Elena points out, is that there’s the possibility that the darned thing could make you feel guilty about not doing activities on it. I don’t want that feeling in my life.
Yep, I’m not too keen on glitter, either. I guess that’s why the site suggests you send it to your enemies. { insert evil laugh here }

I was going to wonder what it meant if I decided “all the drinks” for my favorite drink. And then I realized that just meant I would be a drunk. And therefore the question had been answered without even looking at the link (but I did, because drinks).

Sarah, you make me laugh. Your logic is perfect, but I’m glad that you looked anyway. So far, oddly enough, the person/drink descriptions have been accurate. Are were really that easy to understand just by what we imbibe?

Oh, I could probably do that based on beer choices alone (and I don’t even drink beer – then again, perhaps I just like to stereotype people).

Stereotyping based on beer choices! Love it. That’s a skill to be proud of. Resume-worthy, even. 😉

Now, I just have to find the employer who needs that skill…

Thanks Kourtney. I used to be more of a sponge, but am a duck now. Most days.

The only one I’m familiar with is “The cake is a lie” because my daughter played Portal. She had the portal cake one year for her birthday. It wasn’t a lie then. 🙂
I’m going to go read the one about 10 phrases every girl needs.

J, I’d heard that phrase but never knew what it meant. So I looked it up the other day– and what do you know? It’s a phrase that could easily be the subtext of my life!
I thought that the 10 words article was brilliant. I know those words and use them, but too many women and girls don’t. My Dad, of all people, taught me how to hold my own in conversations. He wasn’t fond of fools of either gender!
