[a few photos taken at our friends’ farm on Thanksgiving Day, 2012]
Reminds me a bit of grandpa’s farm. I loved petting the chickens and gathering the eggs, walking through the fields and climbing the apple tree. Lovely photos, I particularly like the guardian cat. Brings back nice memories for me.

Zazzy, being out there was a step back in time for me, too. I used to live where it was flat [a suburb, not a farm]. I liked seeing the flatness again. It seemed so easy to me after dealing with hills every day.

Great pictures, Ally. Looks like it was a pretty day. Of course, I like the animal pictures a lot!

Thanks. It was pretty + unseasonably warm outside, so we had drinks & appetizers sitting on the deck looking out across the fields. Very nice.

Looks just like some of our Thanksgivings past. Nice shot of the rooster ( love the contrast/ colors) – cat, of course, is so beautifully serious

philosophermouse, I liked the rooster shot, too. I wanted to get him mid-crow, but cooperative he was not.
