My Voter’s Blessing For You
by Ally Bean
May the poll worker look up to meet you,
May the crowd be always at your back,
May the screen appear before your face,
May the chads not dangle upon your fields,
And, until we vote again,
May God hold you in the ballot box in His hand.
… Or, of course, you could just go with an Irish Blessing.
Erin go Braugh-rack.

Very clever. Nicely done.

So clever! (any chance of a few drinks afterwards? Either in celebration or wake – it won’t matter? Afterwards we’re all united again as Americans, right?….there will be metal detectors, right? Oh, silly. Voting for reason and grace.)

I think that there will be drinks afterward. Seems appropriate enough. Good idea.

this is wonderful – I live in a Country where women died to get me the vote. I think is so important to always use your vote – it is the calling card of freedom.

gemma, thank you. Glad you liked my little blessing.
I think you’re so right about voting. Your phrase, the calling card of freedom, is lovely.
